Real Life Beauty and the Beast? This Teapot Came to Life and Enchanted Us with Her Song

Oh joyous day! I have never in my life experienced such a thing. Let me tell you all about it. I was digging through a box of things I had found in my parents storage unit when I came across this beautiful teapot. I have never considered myself a ‘tea person,’ but this teapot gave me the confidence for me to picture myself as one for the very first time. I left the rest of the box where I found it, but I took the teapot home. Cut to the next night, I decide I want to make some sleepy-time tea. I pull out my brand new teapot, excited to use it. Just as I am filling the pot with water, a voice begins speaking to me out of nowhere. I look down and realize that it is the teapot speaking. I still feel crazy even writing this, but it’s the truth.

Before I can even process what the teapot says, she begins singing in the most beautiful voice a strangle captivating, if somewhat old fashioned song. I was swooned by her lullaby, and soon found myself drowsy, the exact effect of the tea I had been looking for. It was as if her singing had some sort of magical quality about it. And you know what? I’ve never slept better.

My dreams raced the whole night through, so when I woke, I almost forgot what had happened the previous night. I had one of those sobering moments where I have to try and remember what I had done the night before. I went out to the kitchen to check for myself if I had been simply hallucinating or I was living in a real life Beauty and the Beast. Or both, honestly. That sounds like me.

I approached the sink, going to fill the pot with water for my morning pick-me-up tea, when the voice began speaking again. I thought I would be prepared this time, but it was still just as jarring. Again, before I could process what she had said, she began a lively diddy with a band playing seemingly from nowhere. Instantly my spirits were up, my energy was flowing, and I was ready to take on the day. It was just what I wanted from a coffee or tea in the morning.

I came into work to write this story and tell the world that magic does still exist! It exist within the hearts and minds of all of us, if only we would open ourselves to them. I watch alot of Pixar movies, I’m just quirky like that, so I understand magic as an adult, and I am living the life of my dreams.

Oh joyous day!
