I Think It’s Time We All Give Up

Attention – if you are someone who is ‘all about the grind’ and ‘interested in my investment portfolio,’ this article is not for you. No, this is for the rest of us who just want to, and I don’t want this to sound anti-capitalist, enjoy our lives. But no, because of the people who want to grind themselves into dust for the sake of the market, we have to live our lives in the most horrible ways possible. I can’t stand it. So, I am letting everyone know that I am ready to give up and I think everyone should join me. Just for a little while, just until we make things right.

If you aren’t sure what I am talking about, let me elaborate. You know how you do things every day? What if you didn’t. Like, at all. The things like work, producing capital, etc. that you do all the time, what if you didn’t?

I know, it’s something that is wild to think about. But then when you think about it more, it starts to make sense. If no one does anything, everything stops and we all are allowed to just exist, rather than work.

Now, I’m not saying that all jobs and careers are bad. We all have our passions and ways to add to the collective good of the world, but do all of us need to be doing what we are doing currently just to survive? Hell no. Do you know how many made up jobs there are? Do you know how many of those people could be doing something better with their lives? It’s a lot of people.

And those of us who aren’t super passionate about what we do can take care of the rest. By that I mean deal with those who have been benefiting from the labor we are producing for them. No human has ever “earned” more than a million dollars in their life, that’s absurd. The only way you have more than that is if you have exploited the work of labors beneath you. I’m sorry, I don’t make the rules.

So you, yes even you, should consider giving up. If there was ever a year to do it, this would be it. I know that in my mind it will be a lot more complicated than all that, but in my mind giant fields of flowers will begin to bloom the moment we all imagine a world without SEO and best practices. Trust me. It’s gonna be scary and it’s gonna be hard, but aren’t the best things in the end worth it?
